Not so idyllic

An excellent article by Jennifer Trueland – published in BMA The Doctor Issue 67 , 21 May 2024.  Featuring RGPAS Chair, Dr Alida MacGregor, who says the situation is ‘in crisis’ and RGPAS Secretary, Dr Kate Dawson who describes her conflicting emotions  handing over her thriving practice partnership to the Western Isles health board.

 ‘But what I absolutely want to make clear is that we’re not handing back the contract because of any failure within the practice. It’s because becoming a GP partner has become unattractive and financially risky.’
